Born at an early age. Grew up in various locations ( some claim the growing up process is still progressing) due to my father's affiliation as a Officer in the US Army. With brief residences in North Carolina, Oklahoma, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, Virginia ,Washington State and the Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Germany). We spent the longest time living in Alexandria, Virginia. Four years worth. My father spent a couple of those working at the Pentagon. One day he decided to take me to work. I think is was part of a "bring your son to work program". I was expecting to see something similar to the "War Room" in Dr. Strangelove, of which movie I had yet to see. Thinking I was going to see the button that started World War III, I was pleasantly surprised to see only a big office building with a extra side. Secretly, I think he was hoping to get me interested in a military carrier. That didn't happen! The closest I came to military service was playing a Fife in the Mount Vernon Guard Fife & Drum Corps.Moved to Seattle. Attended Queen Anne High School but later ended up moving to Hanau, Germany and finishing at Hanau American High School. |

I graduated with a degree in Forest Recreation at Paul Smith's College "The College of the Adirondacks" in Paul Smiths, New York. You say "Forest Recreation", that's right!! ( don't laugh )Upon graduation, I moved back to Seattle. Yes, the same Seattle that I left years earlier. Somehow it had changed, didn't rain as often. Yes...I had been assimilated...... resistance was futile. |
